Saturday, April 13 is another Irish Saturday at the MGS library. Mary Wickersham will present an “Irish Records Online” class from 1-2:30 pm. She will demonstrate how to utilize the best of Irish records on Ancestry.com as well as the Irish Family History Foundation database.
Mary is currently President of Irish Genealogical Society International (IGSI). She has much experience in researching family history, and two of her specialties are Irish-Americans and Catholics. She enjoys the challenge of breaking through “brick walls” using online sources.
The April 13 class fee is $10 for IGSI members and $15 for non-members. For more details or to register, click here: http://irishgenealogical.org/page/scheduled-classes
The MGS library is located at 1185 Concord St N in S St Paul. The library will be open Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm so there’s plenty of time – before or after Mary’s class – to get assistance from IGSI volunteers (experienced Irish researchers) on your specific research needs.
The IGSI bookstore will also be open for business Saturday afternoon.
Sounds like a perfect way to spend a cool, cloudy April Saturday!
