November 9 is Irish Saturday at the MGS Library in S St Paul. IGSI is sponsoring another class to help you learn more about your Irish roots.
Experienced researcher Tom Rice will share his knowledge of Irish estate records. Your ancestors didn’t need to own land for this topic to be important to you!
For much of the 19th Century most Irish lived on land that was part of an estate. The records of these estates may list renters and leases along with various details about them and their lives. Find out how to identify the estate owner, where these records are and how to access them.
