The May/June issue of Irish Lives Remembered genealogy e-magazine is now available, and guess what? In it you’ll find an article by Joe Buggy entitled “Tracing the Irish in Minnesota.”
Buggy reports on the usual sources for Minnesota research and includes a paragraph about the Irish Genealogical Society International (IGSI)! He’d featured IGSI in his 20 April 2015 blog(www.townlandoforigin.com), but it was a fun surprise to read about us again in Irish Lives Remembered.
A number of other interesting stories are contained in the pages of the latest e-magazine (e.g., the O’Grady clan, research tips for Co. Wicklow, stories about the Irish roots of Graham Norton, Sting, and convict Nicholas Delaney). There’s even another Minnesota connection in the biographical article about activist Jane Grey Cannon Swisshelm, who for a time published a progressive newspaper in St Cloud.
