There but for the grace of God…

Charles R. Hale’s story about “Charles Lindbergh, a Brooklyn Irish lawyer, and a 16-year-old sentenced to the electric chair” was published in the July 22 issue of Irish Central.

I hope you enjoy the story as much as I did. Read it at: www.irishcentral.com/roots/ancestry/Charles-Lindbergh-a-Brooklyn-Irish-lawyer-and-a-16-year-old-sentenced-to-the-electric-chair.html.

Filmmaker Ken Burns says the secret to a great story is 1 + 1 = 3, or a story where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I think Hale achieved that goal in this story about his grandfather.
