Saturday, April 9, is Irish Saturday and another opportunity to learn more about Irish genealogy!
Irish Genealogical Society Intl (IGSI) is sponsoring a series of three classes – Genealogy for Beginners (April 9), for Intermediates (May 14) and for the Advanced (June 11). The instructors – Audrey Leonard, John Schade and Lois Mackin – bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in doing family history research and will tag-team teach each class.
Here’s the course description of Genealogy for Beginners:
Just starting your genealogy? This is the class for you. We will cover forms, interviewing, records, web sites and best practices.
This class is intended for all genealogy researchers. Additional information will be provided for Irish, English, French-Canadian and Native American.
All classes begin at 10:30 am and will be held at the Minnesota Genealogical Society (MGS) Library located at 1185 Concord St N, South St Paul, MN.
Each class costs $15 for IGSI members ($20 for non-members). If you’re unable to attend the class but would like class notes, you may order them for $5.
