September is a lovely time to be in Ireland

Ireland is a great place to visit – perhaps anytime of the year – but both our glorious trips have been in September. In 2016 there’s a secondary reason to plan travel in September: the Diaspora of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Don’t you love the title?  Scheduled for September 24-26 in Ennis, this will be the third International Family History Conference sponsored by the Clare Roots Society. The keynote speaker will be well-known genealogy-blogger Dick Eastman, who is making his very first trip to Ireland. Other featured presenters are Dr. Bruce Durie, Dr. Gavin Wilk, John Grenham and Pauline Cass from Australia.

Want to hear from renowned Irish genealogy speakers but can’t swing a trip to Ireland this year? You’ll hear from Dr. Bruce Durie and John Grenham (and others!) at the Celtic Connections Conference in Minneapolis on August 5-6. Check it out while there’s still space available: http://celtic-connections.org/.
