Time to really dig in and conquer those brick walls with practices developed by experts!
Coming up is “Irish Saturday” at the Minnesota Genealogical Society Library with another class offering sponsored by IGSI. However, this class is not Irish-specific. Intended for all genealogy researchers, the class will be led by Lois Mackin, John Schade and Audrey Leonard. Additional information will be provided for Irish, English, French-Canadian, and Native American research.
No pre-requisites have been established for the class. If you’ve conducted family history research and want to sharpen your skills, this class could be just what you need.
When? 10:30 am to noon, Saturday, June 12
Where? Minnesota Genealogical Society Library, 1185 Concord St N, South St Paul, MN 55075
How much does it cost? $15 for IGSI members, $20 for non-members (If you’re unable to attend but would like class notes, you may order them by sending a check for $5 to IGSI at the library address shown above.)
The IGSI bookstore liquidation continues, and if you attend the class you’ll have a chance to look at the latest inventory listing and purchase books and maps at a huge discount.
Also, experienced volunteers will be ready and able to help with your Irish research during library hours on Saturday (10 am to 4 pm).
