Grogan to substitute as CCC presenter

Regretfully, Richard M. Doherty has had to cancel his appearance as a speaker at the Celtic Connections Conference on August 5-6. Mary Ellen Grogan, a professional genealogist living in Boston, Massachusetts, has been contracted to make two presentations in Doherty’s absence.

Ms. Grogan specializes in Irish genealogical and historical records. She has spoken at national conferences and led research trips to Ireland. She will present two talks: a 2-hour workshop, Griffith’s Valuation: Gateway to Irish Research, and a 1-hour program, Birth, Marriage and Death Records in Ireland: What, Where, How.

We appreciate Ms. Grogan’s willingness to step in on short notice.

While the website hasn’t been updated to show the new presentations, you can read more about the conference at: http://celtic-connections.org/.
