Finding Cousins

Yesterday when I reported AncestryIreland’s half-price BMD sale, I didn’t pass along another nugget from their email announcement.

Ulster Historical Foundation (UHF) sponsors “Tracing Your Irish Ancestors Family History Conference” during June and September sessions. Here’s what they said:

We were thrilled so many of our delegates found new information on their Irish and Scots-Irish ancestors during our June conference. We were even more pleased to hear that two of the delegates found that they were related! Neither knew of each other’s existence until they met on our family history conference! So it may not just be ancestors you discover on our conferences, it might also be living relatives!

I was reminded of a story I posted a few months ago titled “Find Cousins in August?”: http://blog.irishgenealogical.org/?p=5773

YOU could be the lucky person to meet a cousin, or to find that critical clue about your family history.

There’s still time to register for Celtic Connections Conference, happening August 5-6 in St Louis Park, MN: http://celtic-connections.org/

Or you could travel to Ireland for UHF’s September 4-10 conference: www.ancestryireland.com/family-history-conference/autumn-2016/
