Tomorrow is opening day of the South Dakota pheasant-hunting season so we’re here in my hometown for a few days. This morning – over a leisurely cup of coffee – we watched a heartwarming TV segment on the CBS morning news program.
Two women who grew up in the same Chicago neighborhood, after escaping Nazi Germany during WWII, found a surprising connection. One of the women discovered a branch of her family on Ancestry.com and saw a familiar face: a neighbor from 70+ years ago.
