Only three months have passed since the 2016 Celtic Connections Conference took place in St Louis Park, MN, and already the committee is hard at work on plans for the 2018 conference.
The events are co-sponsored by The Irish Ancestral Research Association (TIARA) and Irish Genealogical Society International (IGSI). Reserve August 10-11, 2018, and plan to join us in Newton (Auburndale), Massachusetts.
The theme is already set for CCC ’18: Pathways to Our Past.
The following announcement comes from the IGSI’s bi-monthly e-newsletter, Ginealis:
Currently the conference committee is looking for a graphic image to represent this theme. We invite everyone to participate in this process by submitting a design for the conference’s logo. The winning image will be featured on the Celtic Connection Conference’s website, on publicity materials (e.g., t-shirts), the conference program, syllabus, and brochures.
The deadline for logo design submissions is November 30, 2016.
If you have a talent for art and would like to submit a design for the 2018 conference, simply submit your design to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before the November 30 deadline. Entries are accepted by electronic submission only and must be in vector art format (e.g., PDF, AI, EPS, SVG). (If you wish to include the logos of the two sponsoring organizations in the design, these can be provided. The winning designs from 2014 and 2016 can also be provided upon request.)
Members of the conference committee will select a winning design by December 15, 2016. The selected design becomes the property of TIARA. The winning artist will receive a $75 gift card and will be recognized/acknowledged by the conference committee.
