Poet Katie Donovan to receive O’Shaughnessy Award

“Poet Katie Donovan of Dublin will receive the 21st annual O’Shaughnessy Award for Poetry of the University of St. Thomas Center for Irish Studies,” according to a news story from the St. Thomas newsroom.

She will read from her work on Friday, April 21, at 7:30 pm in the auditorium of the John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts, located on St. Thomas’ St. Paul campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Another opportunity to hear her occurs Monday, April 17, at 7 pm when she talks with Minnesota poet James P. Lenfestey around the topic “Deep Heart’s Core: Poetry and Mystery.” This public conversation will take place at the Merriam Park Branch Library, 1831 Marshall Ave., St. Paul.
