Get the most out of FamilySearch

With the upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend, it’s not too early to start thinking about Irish Saturday, July 9, 2017. Irish Genealogical Society Intl (IGSI) sponsors classes and volunteer research assistance on the second Saturday (of most months).

In July, “Getting the Most Out of FamilySearch” will be presented by certified genealogist Tom Rice. Learn how to use the website to research digitized record images and databases, view digitized family and local history books, access the resources of the world’s largest genealogy library, and look for ancestors in online genealogies. Learn about FamilySearch’s research wiki, with records from around the world and genealogy video classes.

WHEN? Saturday, July 9, 10:30 am to 12 noon

WHERE? Minnesota Genealogical Society (MGS) Library, 1185 Concord St N, South St Paul, MN

COST? $15 for IGSI members, $20 for non-members

You can register online ( or at the library on that Saturday morning. If you aren’t able to attend the class, you can order class notes for just $5.
