Royal Hospital Kilmainham

Did your Irish ancestor receive an army pension between 1724 and 1924? Fold3 may hold details!

The Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin handled the pensions of Irish regiments (plus some English, Scottish and Welsh units). Veterans were eligible for pensions if they had a disabling injury and had either been sent home as invalids or served 12 years.

Fold3’s collection of pension records consists of two parts, Pension Admissions and Pensioners’ Discharge Documents.
