IGSI collection in WorldCat

The latest issue of Ginealas has been emailed to IGSI members. Have you read your copy?

The front page article, “IGSI Collection in WorldCat,” announces that the 30,000+ publications housed at the William J. Hoffman Library and Research Center (aka MGS Library) can now be found on WorldCat. Included are all the books in the Minnesota Genealogical Society (MGS) library collection, along with catalogued items of its branches and affiliates (Irish Genealogical Society Intl among them).

That means you can find our Irish items of interest on either the WorldCat website or the new MGS online catalog.  While not a circulating library (so you can’t check out the books), you can look at MGS/IGSI publications in-person at the Minnesota facility or request research help via the IGSI website. Thanks to Ann Eccles for sharing this exciting update!

A regular Ginealas feature is Kevina Munnich’s “Internet Notes.” She finds the most helpful tips and newsworthy announcements!

Ginealas eNewsletter is published bi-monthly by Gregory J. Winters and Sarah Martin and is just one of the many benefits of IGSI membership:  www.irishgenealogical.org/page/member-benefits.
