Beyond Griffith’s Valuation

Next Saturday, March 10, IGSI will be sponsoring another Irish Saturday class. Attending the class will be a good way to get ready for St Patrick’s Day!

Fern Wilcox will present “Griffith’s Valuation of Ireland: There’s more than just names to be found” from 10:30 am – 12 noon.

Learn how Griffith’s Valuation can lead you to discover more about your ancestors: their economic conditions, family relationships, and other avenues of research to follow. Learn how to plot their exact location on Google Earth.

Note this class is presented at the Minnesota Genealogical Society Center, 1385 Mendota Heights Rd, Mendota Heights, MN.

The fee for the class is $15 for IGSI members and $20 for non-members.

Registration is available at the IGSI website, but walk-ins are welcome the day of the class.

If you are unable to attend but would like a copy of the class handouts ($5 cost, included in the class fee if you attend), mail your request with $5 payment to IGSI, 1385 Mendota Heights Rd, Mendota Heights, MNĀ  55120. Your request will be filled after the class.

The second Saturday of each month is Irish Saturday at the library. IGSI volunteers will be staffing the library on Irish Saturdays to help you with your research.
